MonoSol Honored as one of the Nation’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work for in 2020
Marks fifth consecutive year company earns distinction
MERRILLVILLE, Ind., November 30, 2020 – For the fifth consecutive year, Kuraray’s MonoSol Division was named a Best and Brightest Company to Work For in the nation by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR). MonoSol was one out of 151 organizations that were awarded the distinction, with over 1,100 nominations considered from across the country.
The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For award recognizes organizations that are making better business, creating richer lives and building stronger communities. The winning companies are assessed by an independent research firm based on key measures like employee compensation, benefits and employee solutions, diversity and inclusion, engagement, retention and work-life balance.
“Despite the unprecedented challenges that 2020 has brought to many businesses around the world, demand for products made with our water-soluble film technology has been tremendous, said President and CEO, P. Scott Bening. “Our employees prioritized safety and service, allowing MonoSol to continue growing and serving our communities – both locally and globally. Receiving this award for the fifth consecutive year is a testament to our ongoing commitment to create opportunities for our employees to innovate, excel, and grow their skills and career paths.”
In addition to being a founding sponsor of the Boone County Small Business Relief Fund, MonoSol was recently recognized with an Indiana Innovation Award for its pandemic response efforts, including its steps to create dissolvable laundry bags used to protect workers at hospitals and medical facilities. Its “Takeout Takeover” initiative this past summer rewarded 750 employees with weekly vouchers to support local Indiana restaurants during the coronavirus pandemic.
Jennifer Kluge, President and CEO, National Association for Business Resources, said, “Throughout this challenging year, the Best and Brightest Companies To Work For have demonstrated leadership and forward thinking as they pivoted their business and workforce through COVID-19. Now more than ever, it’s clear that the ingenuity of these employees is the key to their success and long-term stability.”
MonoSol opened its sixth global high-tech production facility in Lebanon, Indiana in February 2020 that manufactures biodegradable, water-soluble films for popular brands of home and laundry cleaning products which have experienced strong demand increases in recent years and further increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. The facility recently added two production lines in Lebanon that created 25 new jobs, for which MonoSol is currently hiring: www.monosol.com/careers.
