MonoSol Announces Appointment of New Vice President and Global Head of Research and Development
MERRILLVILLE, Ind., November 07, 2022 – MonoSol announced today the appointment of Dr. Zuchen Lin as Vice President, Global Research and Development. Dr. Lin will begin employment on November 14, 2022, and will be based in Merrillville, Indiana and Midland, Michigan.
Dr. Lin joins MonoSol with nearly 30 years of experience in all phases of material innovation and development and global team building with multinational companies, most recently as Vice President of North American R&D, Label and Graphics Materials at Avery Denison Corporation, overseeing a team of more than 60 scientists. Previously, he held various R&D leadership and product line management positions at Laird Technologies, Dow Corning Corporation and Procter & Gamble.

Dr. Lin succeeds former VP of R&D, Richard Goetz, who is taking on a senior technical role, facilitating corporate technical development programs and new technology evaluation with MonoSol’s parent company, Kuraray Group, as well as with external partners. Both Lin and Goetz will be further supported by senior technical consultant Jose Vega to implement a range of best-in-class change management, quality, and bench-to-scale development practices.

Dr. Lin earned his Ph.D. In Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and his M.S. in Physics from Nanjing University, China. He resides with his family in Midland, Michigan.
