AquaFilm® performance is supported by decades of published research and environmental study. Current evidence indicates that, when used as intended, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA/PVOH) films are designed to dissolve in water and can biodegrade under appropriate conditions. They are not considered a source of solid microplastic particles under current scientific and regulatory definitions.
